Superior General Verena Schulte
Sister Verena Schulte was the third Superior General of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration. From 1914, Mother Verena led the congregation for 33 years and guided the order with courage, prudence and wisdom through all the turmoil of the First World War, the Weimar Republic and the Nazi dictatorship as well as the first post-war years. She accepted a total of 1222 sisters into the order and founded 32 branches.
