Light at the centre
As was the case last year, the topic of "light" is at the centre of activities. Many offers take up this quality. "With art projects, concerts, hiking and pilgrimage offers, meditation and prayer, dance, guided tours, lectures, talks and much more, the program approaches the topic in very different ways", Elisabeth Grube (Wittgenstein Protestant Church District) and Michael Kloppenburg (Dean's Office Hochsauerland-Mitte) from the Spiritual Summer steering team are pleased to announce.
Highlights
This year's highlights include a concert with Christian Bollmann, one of Germany's most renowned overtone musicians, and four light art projects, which Dr. Andrea Brockmann from the Schmallenberg Cultural Office is curating for the Spiritual Summer.
The Sternenhaus, a sculpture by the Beckum artist Ulrich Möckel, can be seen and experienced in Schmallenberg-Wormbach together with a small intercultural accompanying programme. Nikola Dicke, artist from Osnabrück, will work on a light art project with children and young people and Martina Muck, artist from Münster, will work together with interested people from the region on a room installation that focuses on the inside of things. Max Sudhues, the Berlin artist who has received many awards for his work, will be a guest in the Christus Kirche in Neheim with an artistic intervention. All
