Schmallenberg. For the 37th time, the Schmallenberg hiking week invites you to discover the most beautiful hiking trails in the land of a thousand mountains under expert guidance. From 25.07. to 29.07.2017, numerous hiking fans will once again be there when a wide variety of organised theme tours take place over five days. The hikes, which have been worked out in cooperation with the SGV and the forestry offices, start at 09.30 a.m. Organised bus transfers will bring guests and locals to the starting points in advance. Lunch is served on the way with charcoal-burner coffee and an individual "backpack menu". At the respective destination, cosy and rustic hours with snacks, coffee and cake await the hikers. This year there is another tour on the Sauerland-Höhenflug, another one on the newly certified Schwedensteig from Westfeld, in the Esloher Land it goes from Oesterberge to Eslohe. The fourth tour leads from Saalhausen to Cobbenrode and the final hike on the fifth day from Bremscheid to Sellinghausen. All hikes have a length of 15 to 16 kilometres, prior registration is not necessary. Whichever tour you choose: Sociable and carefree hours in the beautiful nature of the Sauerland are guaranteed. Golf in the Schmallenberger Sauerland
Schmallenberg. This sport is said to make people happy. And that is not least because you are out in nature, preferably in good weather and with a wonderful scenic backdrop. People of all ages find their happiness during a sporty stay on one of the two golf courses in the region. Such as the impressive 27-hole panoramic course in Winkhausen and the 18-hole course in Sellinghausen with ideal conditions.
